To better serve the high-standard opening-up of the futures market, support the internationalization program of the Shanghai Futures Exchange (“SHFE”), and regulate members’ foreign exchange management, cross-border settlement business and the disposal of foreign currencies used as margin, SHFE has formulated the Clearing Guidelines for Members of the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the Guidelines for the Settlement and Purchase of Foreign Exchange for Members of the Shanghai Futures Exchange, and the Guidelines of the Shanghai Futures Exchange on Disposal of Assets Posted as Margin Collaterals (hereinafter collectively referred to as “these Guidelines”). These Guidelines are hereby released and will come into effect on March 20, 2026.
The Guidelines of the Shanghai Futures Exchange on Disposal of Marketable Securities Posted as Margin Collaterals (September 2023 revision) will expire on that same date.
The Chinese version of these Guidelines is available on the official Chinese website of SHFE. Please note that the English text is for reference purposes only. In the event of any inconsistency with the Chinese text, the Chinese text prevails.
